Jogger in St Helena's Park Dundalk
Ali Baba The Secret tree was on a path from the bandstand to the flush . Now taken down and path gone
The flush was situated beside the river just at the old metals. It was used for effluent waste from the town . The pump house is still there but effluent now pumped to Soldiers point.
The pond or the “ponderosa” as we called it was beside The soccer pitch . There is a large green area now for families to rest and picnic
I did leave out the many chessnut trees also mighty trees in our youth.
Many’s the arm and leg was broken falling from them.
